Ten
Reasons You Need A Cushman Turf Truckster In Your Fleet
1
No other heavy-duty truck has as much load capacity.
With the Cushman Turf Truckster, you have the highest load
capacity in its class 2,850 pounds. With the Cushman
nameplate, you also get the benefit of more than 50 years of
utility vehicle experience. Who else would know how to make a
truck this tough, one that some customers are still using 10, 20
or even 30 years later?
2 No other heavy-duty
truck offers an automatic transmission.
Many of today's younger workers grew up with automatic
transmission cars and never learned how to drive a standard
transmission with a clutch. Cushman offers a true three-speed
automotive-type automatic transmission in its heavy-duty trucks.
This shortens your learning curve, reduces training costs and
helps curtail certain types of abuse.
3 Most available forward
gears to handle heavier loads under challenging conditions.
Cushman gasoline engine trucks have five forward speeds. Diesel
models have four forward speeds with manual transmissions. All
trucks, including the automatic model (gas only), come with a
two-speed rear axle. This puts a total of either 10
(gas/manual), eight (diesel/manual), or six (gas/automatic) gear
ratios at your disposal for hauling heavy loads up and down
hills, or for precise spraying applications. Our standard ground
speed governor maintains speed for consistent spray application
of liquid fertilizers and other chemicals with our available
Turf Master sprayers or dedicated SprayTek spray trucks.
4 Most convenient (and
sensible) engine accessibility.
Only the Cushman Truckster has a mid-engine (like some exotic
sports cars) for more balanced chassis loading and steering
control with a heavy load in the bed. Even the best engines
sometimes require maintenance and repair. Should your truck ever
experience an engine problem, you won't need to unload
everything in the bed and get a crane to lift the bed like other
trucks that have the engine mounted under them. Just flip up the
seat and you can easily access anything you need to work on,
even with a fully loaded bed.
5 Flexible power to
spare.
Trucksters are available with either a 32-hp electronically fuel
injected gasoline engine with automatic belt tensioning, or a
24.8-hp diesel engine. Both come with ground speed governors as
standard equipment.
6 The only heavy-duty
truck with a "trunk."
Flip open our front hood and you have a sizable storage area for
tools, coats and other equipment that's protected from the
weather and out of sight.
7 Pass-through
operator's station and gentler ride.
With our dash-mounted shifters, you can get in or out from
either side (a benefit on some jobs or where access may be
limited) without any shift levers sticking up to snag your
clothing. You can also turn your truck around in cramped areas
next to buildings, fences or other obstructions because there's
no long front overhang like other trucks have. This exclusive
design also gives you a smoother ride compared to the rougher
riding "cab-over" design found in most utility vehicles.
8 Standard hydraulics
and available power take-off (P.T.O.).
We include standard hydraulics with every truck, so the lift
cylinder and controls for any bed or attachments you plan to add
are already installed, and offer a hydraulic P.T.O. to drive the
available accessories. Fluids are GreensCare biodegradable oil
to protect the environment. A heavy-duty hydraulic P.T.O. with
high and low flow rates is available on both models; a
heavy-duty mechanical P.T.O. is available for diesels.
9 Available
factory-installed four-post rollover protection system and cab.
Cushman is the only heavy-duty truck manufacturer to offer a
four-post ROPS for added safety. You can also add a
factory-installed cab and doors for additional personal comfort
and protection from the elements.
10 Wide selection of
accessories to make your job and life easier.
Choose from nearly 50 options and accessories available from the
factory and your dealer to tailor your truck to the job and make
it more efficient. |
